Finding the top five best extended car warranty companies wasn't easy. There are literally hundreds of extended warranty companies and unfortunately, a large majority of the ones you see advertised online are just fly by night operations that sell policies that rarely ever pay out in the event your car runs into trouble.

To find the best of list that you see below, I spent months researching and interviewing the companies listed below. I applied for coverage from them for my car and compared and contrasted every aspect of the policies they wanted to sell me. These five are the only ones that I would recommend that you consider.

Why Don't I List More Than The Top Five?
Unfortunately, I had to remove several extended car warranty companies from the top List on my last update due to poor customer support, lowered BBB ratings, and overpriced policies. When I find more that make the grade, I'll be sure to include more often here.
